Although I was born three years after its release, this album makes me feel a sort of "presque vu," and I can't quite tell you how something like that comes to be, but they fucking did it. Beautifully mystical, some of my favorite drums, great use of horns, yearning and desolate, this album was one of the best that could have pioneered the midwest emo genre.
